My connection to John Cox Jr.
My name is Patrice L. Williams. I created this website so that our family can better understand where we came from, preserve what earlier generations left behind and share that knowledge with those still to come.
John Cox Jr., affectionately known as Johnny, is my great-great-grandfather. He was the father of Alexander Cox, who was the father of my grandmother Olive Cox. Olive’s daughter Ruth Williams is my mother. My family and I moved from The Bahamas to the Turks and Caicos Islands when I was young, and I now reside in London, England.
This family tree continues Johnny’s legacy by recording his descendants, reconnecting branches and creating a dependable home for our shared history.

I combine online genealogy resources with traditional research, including family Bibles, vital records, church and courthouse material, photographs, yearbooks and the oral histories passed down through generations.
